We see the main character, Allie, go through so much throughout the course of the story, and even though a lot of time passes, Julie Kagawa does a great job at not letting it drag. There isn't a lot of info dump, either, which was refreshing--we learn hints about why Allie's world is the way it is along the way, and even though we still have questions about it at the end, I'm confident that the next books in the series (will there be three?) will fill in the blanks. It's hard to strike a balance between too much information and not enough when you're dealing with a brand new AU, but this one manages nicely.Espanahttp://tearingdownvsbuildingup.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.com
