Spotlight On... SK Whiteside

Todays spotlight post is on author S.K Whiteside, who has very kindly provided me with a couple of her books to review... keep an eye out in the next few weeks for those. In the meantime, lets meet the author...

S.K. Whiteside is a writer of Paranormal/Fantasy, Horror, and Suspense. As a ful
l time Mental Health Counselor, she started writing in Academia but decided writing about things on the “other side of the veil” was a lot more interesting. Living in the paranormal capital of the world makes it fairly easy for her to come up with characters, many of which are based off of real personas in her life that are so vibrant they can’t help but carry over into her writing.

S.K. Whiteside is a Fiction Weaver and World Creator. It just so happens that the worlds she creates are often filled with things that go bump in the night. A New Orleanian at heart, the Deep South often serves as the setting for her paranormal tales of the unknown. Her Charismatic characters and snarky banter often derive from the various personas of those she loves and the voices in her head. When not writing she spends her time telling everyone else in the world that they are completely bonkers but yet she often channels Napoleon Bonaparte. During her down time she pokes at the massive giant whom holds her captive and runs from two monsters that she swears are out to kill her. Some people call them her husband and children but she knows the truth...

Seraphic Encounter is an anthology of stories edited by S.K. Whiteside of dark paranormal and/or supernatural tales of all things “Divine.”
Seraphic means Angelic or Divine and that is the premise of each story included in the work. The Anthology is written for a crossover YA fan base.

Angels, Gods, Goddesses, Demons, Mythology, Divine locations, and personifications of Divine principals all serve as setting and characters in this group of stories. The stories will range from chilling to dark to terrifying and contain haunting, murder, kidnapping, ritual.

Everyone has heard the story but not everyone knows the truth. Isis was ready to give up. Her mate, Osiris, we murdered by the very person he trusted most, his brother Set. Envious of his brothers growing power and his father’s affection, Set killed Osiris and scattered his remains across the lands of Egypt. With the love of her life out of the picture Set imprisoned Isis in attempt to claim her as his own. When she spurns his advances, Set locks Isis in a tower where she is raped, beaten, and left for dead…only she is immortal and death never comes.
With the help of some unexpected allies, Isis escapes and sets forth on a path of revenge. Vengeance will be hers and she makes it clear to her enemies that hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.
